Aishwarya Rai To Donate Her Eyes
Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is well known for her beauty and enhancing her beauty is her blue-green eyes.
Supporting the eye donation campaign, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has decided to donate her eyes after she dies.
The former beauty queen will do it for Eye Bank association of India that is continuously spreading the awareness about eye donation.
Aishwarya has pledge her eyes telling, “People know me more because of my eyes. So, I decided to donate my eyes.”
Ash joined the campaign with veteran actor Om Puri urging the Mumbaikars to come forward and donate their precious eyes.
The campaign will run till August 31.
Celebrity Hair Expert Work With Aishwarya Rai :
He has styled the tresses of Hollywood divas like Heather Graham, Drew Barrymore and Sharon Stone but Los Angeles-based celebrity hair expert Jamal Hammadi is in awe of Bollywood stars Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan. And he would love to style them too.
"I’d love to work with Aishwarya Rai. I haven’t yet. She’s got long, gorgeous hair and my god, those blue eyes. I’d definitely love to work with her. She is a beautiful lady and it’ll be fun and something different," Hammadi told IANS in a telephonic interview from Mumbai, while on his third trip to India.
"I think Aishwaya Rai is gorgeous...Then, you have Priyanka (Chopra), who is awesome. I worked with her about a month ago. We did a Sunsilk Stunning Black Shine (Shampoo) commercial. She is so cool and fun and open. She is pretty talented as well and I like her attitude," said the global shine expert, who is the co-creator of the shampoo.
What about Priyanka’s hair?
"Priyanka has good hair," said Hammadi, who was in India just for a day but is looking forward to heading "north to the Himalayas for a whole spiritual thing" on his next visit.
Isn’t he aware about any Bollywood hero?
"Yes. There is Shah Rukh Khan. He is everywhere. He is huge. He is really big. I see him everywhere. And he is funny too. He has a great personality and sense of humour. I have seen his interviews. He seems cool...," said Hammadi.
So, would he like to work on Shah Rukh’s hair?
"Sure. Absolutely! Why not," exclaimed the hairstylist, who grew up with Eastern influences, does yoga and loves gorging on Indian food, especially "tandoori chicken and naan".
Born in Paris, Jamal began styling in the early 1990s and is now well-known for creating glamorous looks for Hollywood celebrities and countless supermodels on the New York and Paris runways.
Known for his natural approach to achieving healthy hair shine, his clientele includes the likes of Linda Evangelista, Eva Mendes, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Julianne Moore, Kirsten Dunst, Naomi Watts and Maya Rudoph. Evangelista is one of his most dedicated clients so much so that she flew him over to London to style her hair for a Vogue cover shoot.
So who possesses the best hair in Hollywood?
"Heather Graham has amazing hair. She has got gorgeous, thick, wavy and beautiful hair. You can do anything with that," said Hammadi, whose last job was with Barrymore.
Despite his skill, Hammadi conceded that even he faces tough times.
"It’s most challenging when I’m working in Paris in the shows. It’s beyond hairstyles. At that point you are creating sculptures and things like that. That’s the most challenging and the most rewarding for me," he said.
"I have been doing this now for 15 years and I am confident enough with all kinds of textures, but it’s more about when you start creating these crazy, eccentric looks. You are more theatrical and it pushes you to the next level. Fashion shows really help you get that expertise," he added.
He also has his own line, Hamadi (eds: correct) Beauty, that embodies products combining 100 percent essential oils and plant extracts. So has he thought of setting up shop in India?
"No. Not yet. There was a company that had contacted us. So we are working on that and hopefully in the future we’ll be there," Hammadi said.
Aishwarya Rai Walked The Ramp After Many Years :
When actress Aishwarya Rai walked the ramp after many years as the showstopper for designer Manish Malhotra at the HDIL-India Couture Week (HDIL-ICW) opening show, the first thing she did was to give a naughty wink to husband Abhishek Bachchan and blow flying kisses too!
The couture week began Wednesday and will see eight designers showcase their collections till Oct 10.
Looking stunning in a white voluminous lehenga with heavy high eye makeup, Aishwarya walked with ease and made sure she made her man feel special by constantly gazing at him and blowing kisses from the ramp.
After the show, the two hugged each other and looked like a couple very much in love, especially with junior Bachchan praising her ramp walk and the former beauty queen accepting the compliments with warm smiles and a strong eye contact.
"Even I don’t remember the last time I walked the ramp for a fashion show. I don’t think I have ever walked during a fashion week. But, yes, it was long overdue for Manish," Aishwarya said after the show.
Though the audience would have loved to see the couple walk the ramp together, Aishwarya justified his absence saying they didn’t want to keep Manish hanging as Abhishek was busy with shooting and could have got stuck with work.
"Manish has been trying to get me on the ramp for quite a long time now, but I have been keeping so busy that I couldn’t even watch any of his previous shows, forget about walking. But this time, things just fell into place," she said.
Accompanying Abhishek was his mother Jaya, who too cheered for her daughter-in-law with equal enthusiasm. Besides them, actresses Sonam Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar, Riya Sen, Sophie Chaudhary and director Imtiaz Ali also dazzled in the guest gallery to cheer for Manish, their favourite designer.
It was not just Bollywood presence that ruled the show, Manish’s couture collection and the presentation too cast a spell on guests.
The main show area was decorated like a wedding ’mandap’ with candles and marigold flowers everywhere.
His collection included long anarkalis, voluminous lehengas, dhotis, plazos teamed with long kurtas and saris with velvet boarders and the designer used a riot of colours from beige to off-white to red, pink, purple and myriad hues of green. He offered designs for both men and women.
Kareena Kapoor refuses to play mom to Saif’s kids :
Seems like the reel-life plot from Kareena Kapoor’s recent flick ‘We Are Family’ is being played in her real life too. The romantic and perfect love saga of Saifeena faced a setback when the two had a tiff over the issue of Chhote Nawab’s kids. Post marriage, Madhuri Sixit Nene has made on and off screen appearances and never left the tinsel town completely, but it is always a warm welcome whenever the adorable star makes a short comeback.
Latest reports have it that Madhuri will make an appearance on the fifth season of the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’. Where many say that she will be seen as a judge, there are also quite a few who believe that she will make a guest appearance only with a special dance sequence.

Bollywood actress Vidhya Balan to act as Silk Smitha :
The life of the late Silk Smitha is being made into a film. Vidhya Balan is donning her role. Vidhya Balan is practicing the hip shake dance to dance like Silk Smitha for a month’s time. Silk Smitha enticed the audience with her magnetic eyes. In 1980s there was never a film without her.
She had almost acted with every hero including Rajni and Kamal. Silk Smitha who entertained the audience encountered lots of personal life. There were rumors linking her with producers, actors and call sheet managers. One day she committed suicide.
Producer Ektha Kapoor has planned to produce her bio-pic in Hindi and South Indian languages. This film has been tentatively titled Dirty Picture. Many actresses were considered to do the role of Silk Smitha. Finally it was decided that Vidhya Balan would be suitable to do this role. Vidhya is taking training from a South Indian choreographer to dance like Smitha.
Producer Ektha Kapoor while speaking to the media said,” This film is not made keeping in glamour in mind. This film illustrates about the relationship between an actress and a producer. The talented actress Vidhya Balan will be suitable for the role of Silk Smitha. Director Milan Luthria and I have done a lot of research about Silk Smitha. The important factor of this film is dance. After confirming the hero, Vidhya Balan will be taking practice in dance.”
Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat’s international film 'Hisss' will also have a Tamil version and it is scheduled for release on October 22. Mallika Sherawat is a known face to Tamil audience with her impressive performances in films like Guru and Dasavatharam.
'Hisss' is romantic comedy directed by Doug McHenryset, set during Barack Obama's campaign for the US Presidency. Mallika plays a snake-woman in the film that also stars Irfan Khan and Divya Dutta.
Mallika Sherawat recently created a flutter by kissing a snake at the promotional premiere of the film at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival recently.
