Serena does not give a chance and Zvonareva win Wimbledon for the fourth time


Vera Zvonareva was just before Serena Williams match by six games. Once we got the first break, the world’s number one shot on the scoreboard and the disparity between the players was clear. Wimbledon champion in 2002, 2003 and 2009, Serena reaches his 13th title in a Grand Slam. She also takes home five trophies from the Australian Open (2003, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2010), a Roland Garros (2002) and three U.S. Open (1999, 2002 and 2008).


She also leaves behind the American Billie Jean King (12 Grand Slams) and isolates himself in sixth position among the biggest winners of Grand Slam singles history. Margaret Court is first on the list with 24 victories. Steffi Graf (22), Helen Wills Moody (19) Martina Navratilova (18) and Chris Evert (18) come back.

In the last two weeks, Serena also holds the record for aces fired in a single tournament. After 80 withdrawals indefensible in the first six games, she scored nine on Saturday, totaling 89.

By defeating Zvonareva, Serena also became the fifth spot on the list of players with most wins in Grand Slam tournaments. She now has 199, the same number of her sister, Venus. Martina Navratilova heads the group, with 306, followed by Chris Evert (299), Steffi Graf (278) and Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario (210).
